Outside Influence - Photography in Colorado 1945-1995
I am very happy to be profiled in the just published book - Outside Influence - The History of Colorado Photography 1945-1995 by The University Press of Colorado. Photo Historian Rupert Jenkins states "Nager's significant contributions to Colorado's visual history includes his documentation of the Divine Light Festival, which took place in the high plains desert outside Montrose on July 27, 1972. Nager's sense of "ironic depictions of social circumstances" was the perfect lens through which to record the passions and devotions he witnessed that day". - When Arthur Nager documented the Divine Light Festival, he created what is perhaps the most resonant visual connection to hippie culture in this book outside of CoE itself"
